Best of Reno 2026
66 Years. Three Generations. One Very Stubborn Family.
Best of Reno 2026.
Papa Tony opened the first shop on B Street in Sparks in 1960. He didn't have a brand strategy. He just had Frank Foote, a building, and a very stubborn belief that how you treat people and how you arrange their flowers actually matters.
Sixty-six years later, Reno voted us Best of Reno 2026.
We've been sitting with that for a minute.
The Specific, Unglamorous Truth
Here's what we know about Northern Nevada right now: it's changing fast. There are campuses going up. There are zip codes that didn't exist ten years ago. The commute on 395 and 80 has gotten longer because more people keep deciding this is where they want to be.
And in the middle of all of that, Reno took a ballot and voted for a family flower shop.
Not a concept. Not a brand. A shop. The same one that moved from B Street to Pyramid Way in 1972 because the Sparks community kept growing and we grew with it. The same one that opened in Reno in 1987 because the Truckee Meadows asked for it. The one Papa Tony's son Mike carried forward by expanding into our Floral Design Center in 1996 and fiercely protecting the rule that kindness is our most important metric. And the one Mike's sons Tony and Andy lead today, alongside their aunt Lori, their wives Kristin and Sara, and occasionally a fourth-generation Fiannaca spotted wandering that same Design Center looking for something to do.
Same family. Same community. Same thing Papa Tony believed in when he unlocked that door on B Street the first time.
That's not an accident. That's Reno deciding, out loud, that some things are worth keeping.
The True Backbone
But the true backbone of this award is the ecosystem of people who redefine what a flower shop is supposed to be.
It's our Floral Design Assistants who can identify 15 types of greenery with their eyes closed and by touch alone. It's our Floral Sales & Design team who answers your call during your most emotional tributes and personally arranges those blooms so they are perfect. It's our Floral Delivery Drivers who literally go the extra mile to make sure your blooms arrive safely, wherever you are, and who will redeliver to you when you are home or meet you at work for the perfect hand-off.
They ensure our success. They treat this as an art form, not a retail transaction. That is the difference between buying flowers and experiencing Sparks Florist®.
That's the standard Papa Tony set. Sixty-six years later, this team isn't just upholding his legacy. They are elevating it.
Our Gratitude
Thank you for voting. Thank you for choosing us. And thank you for being the kind of community that still believes a flower shop founded in 1960 has something worth saying.
We plan to keep saying it.
